1. License to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Chronos on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense, sell, or otherwise monetise the app or its assets.

2. No account required

Chronos works without registration. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app. If you choose to contact us (for example, by email), the communication is governed by our Privacy Policy.

3. Ads & in-app purchases

The app is free to use and includes occasional full-screen ads served by Google AdMob. You agree that:

• Ads may appear on app open and when starting a cooking timer, subject to a one-hour per-session cap.
• You control whether ads are personalised via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt and the in-app Settings toggle.
• We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or websites they may link to.

If in-app purchases are added in a future version, they will be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and subject to the platform's own terms.

4. Your content

Custom presets, notes, and cook history you create stay on your device. You retain all rights to this content; we make no claim to it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app's binary or assets beyond what your local law allows for interoperability.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, signing, or other protective mechanisms.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Chronos is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Cooking is a hands-on activity: always use common sense, respect kitchen-safety guidance, and do not rely solely on the timer — water temperatures, altitude, stove power, and pot type introduce real variance the app can only approximate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Tuğba Dalkanat nor any contributor or affiliate shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where this limitation is not permitted in full, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, and (b) ten (10) United States dollars.

8. Intellectual property

All rights in the Chronos name, logo, graphics, source code, and assets — including the photographic egg imagery — are retained by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using Chronos at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access, at our discretion, if you breach these Terms or applicable law. The sections that by their nature should survive termination (licensing, disclaimers, limitations, governing law) will survive.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the competent courts of Istanbul, Türkiye.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in-app and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new Terms.
